Tri-Boro Tots

The mission of Tri-Boro Tots, Inc. is to make the Tri-Boro Area of Northern New Jersey the best place to raise a family in New Jersey. To reach our mission and better serve our community, we are expanding our board with the goal of welcoming four additional directors who are Tri-Boro residents.

Ideally board candidates will have expertise in medicine, mental health, or community health and can help guide our community health & wellness programs or are small business owners within the Tri-Boro towns who can provide insight as we grow our economic development and shop local initiatives.

In terms of time commitment there are three areas of activity our board members is involved with: 

1. Quarterly Board Meetings (4 each year): Our board will comes together (virtually or in-person) for four board meetings each year, lasting about 1-2 hrs per meeting. In advance, they received the the agenda, any financials needing review and any other collateral that will be discussed. Estimated time: 10-12 hrs/year (2-3 hrs/quarter)
2. Annual Board Retreat (1 each year): This is a half-day workshop once per year for us to dig a little deeper into some big-picture decision-making. Estimated time: 5 hrs/year
3. Ambassadorship: Being active and engaged in our work by promoting the Tri-Boro Tots organization throughout personal networks. Directors can choose which of the three areas (or any combination of them) where you’d like to act as an ambassador: Parenting Network, Shop Local, or Family Health & Wellness. There’s no set time commitment, but Directors are asked to help with at least one fundraiser each year pertaining to their primary area of interest. No need to be fearful of fundraising, we will make sure you have the tools you need for this to be very easy. Estimated time: Variable

Our mission is to make the Tri-Boro area the best place to raise a family in New Jersey. While residents know and love this community, its beauty and spirit are often overlooked by those unfamiliar with the area. Tri-Boro Tots achieves its mission through a threefold approach: economic development, community health & wellness, and a parenting network co-op.
